Baby Girls Nursery Moodboard | Timeless Beauty

Baby Girls Nursery Moodboard | Timeless Beauty

Expecting a new baby is such an exciting time. The dreaming of what she will look like, the shopping and nursery planning. All of it!

Im a mum to three children, two girls and one boy. Despite this mood board, I never had a nursery ready before my babies were born. My girls had their own 'big girl' rooms at around the age of 2 so I never got the chance to design and decorate a baby girls nursery. I renovated my youngest, Arlo's, room when he was 4 months old, I was ready to have my own space back a lot sooner than I was with the girls. Alas, I had so much fun designing this mood board. My idea was to create a calm and soothing space full of natural tones with subtle pops of pink. I think the end result is oh-so-sweet for a little girls room.

When I shop I'm meticulous with my purchases, making sure each item serves a purpose and has longevity. With children I think this is even more important, they grow up so quick and can outgrow 'things' quickly. I want the rooms to grow with my children, saving me money in the long run and helping the environment out at the same time! Think of your rug as the foundation to your space. You want your rug to be quality and last for years.

The sylvan ticks all the boxes

  • Wool ✔️
  • Flat weave for easy cleaning/vacuuming ✔️
  • Pattern for interest ✔️
  • Gorgeous colour ✔️

Sylvan Rug

The Sylvan Pink Lines rug has been beautifully made by skilled artisans. Sylvan is made from a 90% wool and 10% cotton mix. Wool is the ideal choice for a children's bedroom. Wool is a 100% natural and renewable fibre making it great for the environment. Easy to clean, spill and stain resistant, insulating, flame resistant, antibacterial and its natural low allergenic properties make it great for asthma and allergy sufferers. The beautiful soft pink pattern will age well with your child, transitioning from nursery to teenage retreat with ease. We are obsessed! Don't miss out, we only have limited stock!

Ikea cot

Such a good buy! Ours lasted all 3 children and It still has plenty of life left in it for other children to enjoy (always invest in a new, good quality mattress for each baby though). It is simple and looks great and is such a bargain buy! Being pine this cot is also super easy to paint any custom colour you choose too!

Circus Stool

An item that will grow with your child. Used as a bedside table here but can be later used as a stool at a play table or desk when your child is older. Buying in neutral colours means it won't date and also remains gender neutral.

Art Print

This sweet canvas print by Voilet Eyes is also a piece that will grow with your child. It's sweet enough to be used in a nursery but it's also stunning used elsewhere in your home. Multi use artwork is a big tick from me!

Violet eyes is an Australian artist, with prints to die for! Check her out!
